The author of a cookbook that has inspired thousands of women around the world is convinced that the trend is a sign of the times.
“People are finding that they don’t want to shop at all anymore,” the author and former fashion designer, Michelle Wolf, told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
“There are so many options that are not available at home.
I think we are entering an era of foodie empowerment where people are finding the things that they want to do with their lives, they are finding ways to do it.”
The book, which has been sold in over 500 countries and has more than 7 million downloads, was inspired by Wolf’s desire to share her knowledge about cooking and travel to places where she hadn’t been before.
“I just want to get away from home, to the places where I have no idea where I’m going to be in a year or two,” Wolf told ABC.
“But I know that if I just do that and I don’t do anything else, I’m on my way.”
Wolf, a former fashion model and model, wrote the book, The Foodiest Places in the World, in order to help other women embrace food and travel.
“In a world where we’re living on the edge of starvation, it is incredibly important to get out there and experience the world,” she said.
“So, I wanted to make a book that would help other people get out into the world and do some really cool stuff.”
The author, a travel blogger, has also been featured on a number of travel shows.
She told the ABC she was inspired to write the book by her mother who struggled with her weight.
“She had been overweight for most of her life, but I was always pretty happy with how much I weighed.
It was only when I started working out that I realised that I needed to do something about it,” she told ABC’s Breakfast program.
“It was so important to me to give people a voice and an option to say no to all of this.

It focuses on cooking for a more health-conscious diet and is also aimed at helping women find their balance and be healthier than they would otherwise be.
“Every day is a new challenge, but this one is the most challenging,” Wolf said.
The book has been downloaded more than 300,000 times and has been praised for its diversity.
“Food has always been my passion,” Wolf explained.
“When I was young, I always wanted to cook, but was scared to go to restaurants.
That was the first step in changing my life.”
