When the Google Home comes to the Windows 10 PC, a lot will change

HP has announced the Google Assistant for Windows 10, and it looks like it’s going to be the company’s biggest acquisition of the year.

The Home will now be able to access the Cortana voice-activated personal assistant via a set of pre-installed software.

In addition to this, the Home will also have access to some other software that can be installed by default, such as an app for controlling Nest thermostats and Nest smart home appliances.

The Google Assistant is expected to be available in the Windows Store in October, though it’s unclear if that will also include Cortana on other Windows devices.
