Why you should check for updates to PS4 software

The PS4 has come under fire from gamers for being unable to get updated software, and now Microsoft has responded.

In a blog post, the company said it’s aware of the issue, but is taking the issue seriously and working to fix it.

“We are aware of an issue with PS4 update, and are working to resolve it as soon as possible,” the company wrote in a post on the Xbox’s support forums.

“The PS4 Update Service (PSUS) is an ongoing effort to improve the PS4 experience, and we’re working with developers to ensure that updates work properly.”

It’s not the first time Microsoft has had to respond to a patch failure.

Earlier this month, the Xbox One was plagued with software issues after a software update caused a crash.

Microsoft has not confirmed if the PSN update issue is linked to the PSX update, or if the Xbox will receive a separate patch this week.

The PSX was released on December 11.
